Fashion Week-Louis Vuitton Handbags

In a show with such an astounding number of beautiful handbags, I barely know where to begin. Who would have thought after last season’s tribal tassel disaster that Marc Jacobs would come up with such a feminine, pretty, and functional collection of handbags at Louis Vuitton. I would have been the last one to guess it – in fact, I remarked to a friend last week that I was barely even looking forward to the Vuitton show.

But that’s the genius of Marc Jacobs. Just when you think that you’ve got him pegged, when you think that you know what he’s going to do and how you’re going to feel about it, he veers off in the opposite direction at full speed and gives you the last thing you could have ever thought he would come up with.

This season, he took us straight back to 1940s France, with tea-length tweeds, tailored waists, and bosom-hugging dirndls. The look reminded me of the French farm girls in the opening sequence of Inglourious Basterds, but with an obviously high-end, Parisian twist. It was a beautiful collection, made only more beautiful by the gobs and gobs of gloriously detailed, traditionally wrought handbags in every material that one could imagine: crocodile, ostrich, leather, fur, lace, satin, beads, you name it. Almost all of the bags were plays on the traditional Speedy shape, with a few wristlets thrown in for good measure. Many Vuitton fans have been lamenting the loss of a certain amount of traditional from the staid fashion house – for those customers, this collection is a shot of sunshine straight from handbag heaven.

Louis Vuitton Monogran Canvas Messenger GM Bosphore

Earlier Louis Vuitton has released Bosphore backpack and Bosphore pochette for fashion men, and this season it brings us the Messenger GM and PM Bosphore for business men. Again this designer bag makes an attractive impression in Monogram canvas, the most classic design of LV. Perhaps you would also like this sleek Messenger GM Bosphore. It would be an ideal workmate for you.

Firstly, this LV Bag is sized at 13.4″ x 10.2″ x 3.1″, therefore, it has a large capacity for daily carrying and it is even spacious enough for holding those significant A4 documents. Its large opening allows easily access to contents. Except for its main compartment, this bag also has a front zip patch pocket, one interior patch pocket and one for mobile phone. At the right upper corner of the bag flap there is a D-ring for attaching keys or other accessories. It features invisible and unobtrusive magnetic closing. With a long adjustable strap, this LV bag can be comfortably carried on the shoulder and across the body. Although it is the kind of typical monogram canvas bag, it is more elegant and decent with the light grey leather trim. Hope you would also like it.  If you are hesitant by the hefty price tag of authentic LV bag, then a Replica LV Bag is a good choice.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Artsy

This Louis Vuitton Artsy Handbag comes from the LV 2010 Spring/Summer Ad Campaign featuring Lara Stone. I’m glad that LV finally gets a younger face and also a hot one with sophisticated charm far away from Mid-aged Madonna, who presented the last spring/summer collection of LV Handbags.

With understated elegance, a free spirited sophistication, this hobo-style tote features an exquisite handcrafted leather handle which gives this bag a refined appeal. Its absolutely the perfect bag for those who has carefree and effortless style.

Artsy features 6 patch pockets, a long zipped pocket, a D-ring for keys and pouches and a lovely bag charm that can be used inside as a key-hanger. The bag comes in two sizes, MM (18.1″ x 12.6″ x 9.4″) and GM (19.7″ x 14.1″ x 9.8″)

Slim Lambskin Gold Clutch Designed by Sofia Coppola

Recently, a rather hot topic in the fashion kingdom is the cooperation of Louis Vuitton and the young directress Sofia Coppola. Actually, it is her who combines practical pattern and luxury materials together, which brings out the best in each other: the low-key luxury of Louis Vuitton and the simple elegance of Sofia Coppola. This slim lambskin gold clutch is a good example.

Louis vuitton clutch

Crafted in an eye-catching and delicate gold metallic lambskin, this slim clutch has the ideal design for an elegant evening use. Besides gold metallic lambskin, it also contains dark brown lambskin and micro fiber lining. This clutch is rather handy: sized at 8.3″ x 5.1″ x 1.1″; it can be squeezed to open the golden brass pieces; having two components and three slots for credit cards at your convenience; with over mirror and soft sleeve. It is said that the first sight impression is very significant

Louis Vuitton Suede Asphalt Purse for Kate Moss

Last time, we see Kate Moss carry her navy-like Gucci Sloaney bag. This time, she totes Louis Vuitton Suede Asphalt Purse part of collaboration between LV and director and style icon Sofia Coppola. Comparing relaxed getup last time, she looks really chic with her contoured long top, blazers and frayed shorts. Perhaps if it weren’t for the long necklace, blazers and her versatile yet luxurious looking LV bag, her totality would look as casual as when she was toting her Gucci purse. So anyway, the bag is actually not totally stunning since it comes only in dark color, but the suede material made it look really sumptuous. The leather trimming and bands that vertically surround the bag adds richness to it, making it classy and really smart. It is indeed a versatile purse that you’d definitely want to have as an investment piece since this can really last for years use. This also doesn’t look that elegant but it would definitely be perfect for everyday use, which is indeed better. And since this is versatile both in design and shade, you know this could be easy to match with just about any ensembles whether for your day activities or after-dark parties:Louis Vuitton: Sophistication and elegance

Do you still remeber my post about a series of shoes and handbags designed by Louis Vuitton & Sofia Coppola? Now this collection has put into market. The Louis Vuitton aficionados who look forward to it for a long time have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the masterpiece. I once said that she was inspired to take a foray into fashion when she couldn’t find her ideal shoes or purses. She wants to give herself a good-looking and practical handbag, not too big not too heavy, just under the loading of all things. Feel it unbelievable? Follow me to take a look at this SC Bag Monogram from Sofia Coppola and Louis Vuitton. This bag is inspired by Louis Vuitton’s iconic shapes Speedy and Keepall. Timeless and functional, the SC Bag Monogram encapsulates Sofia’s own glamorous style. It is crafted of Monogram canvas, natural cowhide leather trimmings and microfiber lining. The design of golden brass pieces, wide zipper closure, padlock and key holder make the bag more exquisite and safe. Adjustable, removable strap and comfortable shoulder pad enable it to be carried in the hand or on the shoulder. The design of one long, inside, flat pocket and one zipped pocket are so considerate and practical. The size of 14.3″ x 9″ x 7.9″ is not too big but can load of all things. I had to admit Sofia, the genius in film world, is translating her talent into the world of fashion

The Masterpiece by Louis Vuitton & Sofia Coppla

She is a genius director who once won an Oscar for directing Lost in Translation, but can Sofia Coppola’s talent translate into the world the world of fashion? Last year she stepped out from behind the camera to design the Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola series of shoes and handbags, practical style with luxurious materials.

She was inspired to take a foray into fashion when she couldn’t find her ideal shoes or purses. She want to give herself a good-looking and practical handbag, not too big not too heavy, just under the loading of all things. Therefore, she even stayed with Louis Vuitton designers and spent a year to create the best design. Her collection features 4 SC handbags: one with dark gray suede, two with dark blue and purple calfskin as well as one in Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram canvas. A miracle evening clutch with a mirror inside comes in the same colors as the bags, plus a golden version. And a ’70s version of the ’40s sandal has a chic narrow wedge, slender ankle strap and teasing peep toe. The low-key luxury Louis Vuitton and Sofia Coppola elegant simplicity together and reinforce each other. It is estimated that will set off a wave of panic buying.

Choosing the Right Handbag

Posted by jose167 | Fashion | Monday 8 March 2010 7:05 am

A woman’s pocketbook plays an important role both in terms of fashion as well as in every day life. Not only is it indispensable for carrying around supplies such as a wallet and other essentials, it also makes a fashion statement on its own. What’s less understood is the way a well chosen pocketbook can subtly enhance your basic build and figure type. Unfortunately, few women take this factor into account when they choose a handbag which can be a missed opportunity. Here’s how to choose a woman’s pocketbook that will flatter your basic build and figure type.

If you’re petite

If you’re petitely built, small pouch or pochette bags with simple, uncluttered lines can be quite flattering. Large hobo bags, duffles, and satchels tend to be too overwhelming for your smaller frame. Another elegant option, particularly for evening is a small, clutch bag. Small doesn’t have to be boring. Select a clutch bag with an interesting, decorative closure or check antique stores for small, vintage clutch bags. These unique handbags can add a lot of character to an outfit.

If you’re tall and thin

If you’re tall and model thin, you’re a natural for carrying the big, roomy messenger bags and oversized satchels that have the space for you to tote around half of your belongings. Large, hobo bags also help to balance out a tall, slender figure. You, for one, have the stature and height to look great carrying oversized, sloughy bags in bright, bold colors. Take advantage of the fact that you can carry off a large, statement making woman’s pocketbook. Stay away from diminuitive purses and clutch bags which can get lost with your height.

If you’re heavy

If you’re carrying a few extra pounds, choose a woman’s pocketbook that’s square or rectangular in shape to offset some of your curves. Avoid big, slouchy round bags that will only accentuate your voluptuous body. At the same time, small purses can also make you look larger by contrast. Keep the size moderate with clean sharp lines, not too big and not too small. Avoid choosing a handbag that stops at your biggest problem area. For example, if you have wide hips, choose a style that ends higher on your body.
A woman’s pocketbook can be used to accentuate your best body parts. For example, if you have wide hips and a small waist, choose a bag that stops at your waistline to draw attention to this feature. The best way to find the perfect handbag is to study your reflection holding the purse in front of a three way mirror. Look at it from all angles and make sure it’s not overwhelming or underwhelming and that it doesn’t call attention to your worst body parts.
